Diwali

Diwali is observed every year in the early Autumn coinciding with the new moon. The festivities symbolise the victory of light over darkness and good over evil.  The word Diwali comes from the Sanskrit meaning "row or series of lights".

Using all your knowledge about Diwali please make a poster sharing facts.  You could include statements, questions, commands and exclamations to mix up the writing and make it more interesting for the reader. 

 

Here are some examples of different sentence types...

 

Statement - Diwali is the festival of light.

Question - Have you been to a Diwali festival?

Exclamation - What fun Diwali is!

Command - Colour in a Rangoli pattern.

 

Have fun making your poster and don't forget to decorate it and make it colourful and light.  It is a festival of light after all.
