Learning from Home
Do you like taking part in a quiz? If so, you can click on the below links and remember some of our projects...How much will you remember?
Welcome to Summer Term with Happy Hedgehogs and Fabulous Foxes,
We hope that you had a nice Easter break and enjoyed the wonderful weather. Have you been keeping a weather chart at home? There will certainly be a lot of sunshine symbols!
This half term we are starting a new project called "Down in the jungle" This is a Science based project, with English and ICT lead subjects. This is usually a very popular project with children and staff. We normally start the project with a trip to Marwell Zoo, which obviously we can't do now. Do visit their website though, there is so much to see and do online. https://www.marwell.org.uk/zoo/
The outcome of this project is usually for each child to write and make their own video clip about a wild animal, in the style of Steve Backshall (TV presenter and animal expert). We will guide you over the next few weeks with tips to help you make a video yourself, if you would like to. If you are not sure who Steve Backshall is click on this link. http://www.stevebackshall.com/
Make sure you check this page each day because we will be uploading activities for you to do at home.
Try to keep reading lots at home. Remember, this can be fiction, non-fiction, poetry, magazines or comics!
Head over to our Video Resource Centre under the Children Tab to listen to all of your teachers reading some of their favourite stories and teaching you from non-fiction texts, too.
Lots of love,
Miss Apsey and Miss Salter :)
