Senses

5 Senses

Animals, including humans, have 5 senses. These are used to help us make sense of the world around us. Animals rely on their senses to protect themselves and to feed themselves. Click the link below to be taken to a video that will remind you of our 5 senses.

Can you make a poster that shows what the 5 senses are? You could draw pictures, label them and even write about what the senses are used for.

Super Senses

How would you survive if you couldn't see? How would you survive without your sense of sight? Ask an adult to blindfold you, spin you around 3 times and then walk you around the house or garden. How are you working out where you are? Are you using your hands? Your ears? Your nose?

Use the document below to write about how you use each sense when your sight is missing.

Tiger Super Senses

Animals use their senses in the same way as us but sometimes for different reasons. Have a look at the video below to find out a little more about animals and their senses. Open the Tiger Super Senses to find out more about how tigers use their senses. Use the Poster document to write or draw pictures for how tigers use their senses.
