Week 2 15.3.21
Dear Parents and Carers
It was lovely to welcome the children back this week. So many smiles! We hope the children and yourselves enjoyed their first week back.

This week Handa has set the children a challenge to create healthy snacks to encourage children to eat more fruit and vegetables. They will working in design teams to look at recipe books for ideas for their snacks. They will then design it together. Finally the children will vote on 3 ideas they like best. These will be the recipes we use to make the healthy snacks for Handa's Healthy Cafe. Perhaps you could you could look at some recipe books with your children and even make something.
In Literacy we will looking at the features of recipes and writing a recipe for a sandwich of their choice.
In Maths we are continuing to use the balances to weigh and measure. They will be solving some problems using the balances.
The Personal, Social and Health Education, (PSHE) is focusing on our hopes and dreams for the future. We will also be introducing more 'Trick Box' activities for mental health and well being.
Although the children are bringing home books to read please don't forget to use 'Bug Club'. This will give you lots more books to chose from with quizzes alongside.
