Follow the link below and watch the animation of what life was like in London in 1666 before the great fire.

What do you notice about London at this time? Is it what you expected? What are the differences?  What are the similarities?

Why do you think there is washing hung across the streets?

Imagine living here during this period of time.  Maybe you are a baker, a beggar, a priest, a butcher.  What would your life be like?

Follow and listen to the story of the Great Fire of London with an adult.

Can you now sequence the events in order?

Look closely at the pictures.  What do you notice?  There will be clues in each picture to help you.

Cut out the sequence of events and put them in the correct order

This Thursday for extended writing we would like you to have a go at writing some sentences using full stops and capital letters.  We would like you to think of some white hat facts about what you have learned this week about the Great Fire of London in 1666.  Use your project bookmark, your phonics and your common exception word spelling mat.
