This week in Art we would like you to have a good look at some paintings of HMS Victory.

 

Activity 1

You can use Google to type in "HMS Victory paintings" and take a good look there or you can follow the link below.  Both will show you a range of different and beautiful pictures of the warship.

We would like you to talk about what you see.  How different does the ship look in each painting?  It often depends on the way the artist sees the ship, the detail included in the painting, even what kind of weather it is!

Please find two different pieces of art work or use the two in the document below and share you thoughts about each piece.  You can explain what you like (or dislike) about each painting and say which one is your favourite, giving a reason why.
