Project

History

In History we would like you to label the HMS Victory and complete these true or false statements. We want you to use your computing skills for this, like real researchers.

Computing

Last week we learned how to safe search using google. Now we would like you to use google and other search engines to find out some exciting information about our project. See the PowerPoint below to remind yourself how to search safely.

Art

In Art this week we would like you to have a look at a range of portraits of Lord Nelson.

Why didn't they just take a photo?

How long do you think it took them to draw Lord Nelson?

Do you think they drew him without looking?

Next week we will be sketching Lord Nelson too, but this week we will be practicing our sketching skills. When we are sketching it is important to do little bits at a time looking at the person in between.

Choose a portrait of Lord Nelson and try and draw him a little bit at a time. Start with his face shape then add his eyes and so on. Remember today is just about practicing, so you can start again as many times as you like and if you find his nose difficult, you can just practice sketching that instead of his whole face.

Use the video below to help you with certain facial features.
