World Book Day 2021
World Book Day 2021 - Thursday 4th March
This year the pandemic won’t stop us celebrating World Book Day!
We will celebrate virtually and have a fun filled day.
Our English Leader, Miss Salter, will start the day off at 9am with a hilarious story that you won’t want to miss. You can spend the day dipping in and out listening to different teachers reading a range of stories.
If you want to get busy making things follow the links below. You could make a bookmark, make your own little book and design a front cover. You can even think of your own character for a new story.
Don’t forget, if you dress up as a book character for the day, you can add photos to Tapestry. We will then add them to this page for everyone to enjoy. We would always like to see photos of you reading.
When you come back to school on March 8th your teacher will give you a free book to take home and enjoy!
If you would like to get making things book themed follow the links below.
Design and make a mask
Think of your favourite book or a favourite character and design or make a fun mask. You could then act out the story! Don't forget to add your photos to Tapestry!
Design your own badge for World Book Day
Make a Stickman
Get outside and find and make your very own Stick Man from Julia Donaldson's famous story. You could even make a whole family!
Take your book outside or somewhere unusual.
Enjoy reading in a totally different place.
Can you add a photo to Tapestry to show your teacher?
Some ideas are:
In a cupboard
In a boat
On a landing
In a tree
In a forest
The activities are endless...we would love for you to just embrace all things reading today.
You could bake a gingerbread man, Have a Mad Hatter's Tea Party, Role Play The Three Bears, Go on a Bear Hunt, Make Brown Bear Brown Bear shadow puppets, Grow your own beanstalk... Remember to take lots of photos and add them to Tapestry.
