Week 2 14.3.22

Dear Parents and Carers

We have had a great first week of our new project Handa’s Healthy café. The children have loved exploring the story Handa’s Surprise and learning all about healthy eating.

Parent teacher meetings will be held next week. Please look out for the zoom link which will be sent out soon. If you haven’t booked a slot yet, please do this as soon as possible. Your child’s targets will be sent home in their bookbags today.

Don’t forget we have an INSET day on Monday. Have a lovely weekend,

English

In English we will be exploring recipes of healthy snacks. The children will be talking about the features of a recipe, what they are used for, building up for writing their own recipe later in the week.

Thursday writing: Can you write a instructions for how to make a sandwich? Remember to use bossy words!

Handwriting

We are practicing our handwriting, focussing on joining up curly caterpillar letters.

Maths

In Maths we will be learning about weight. The children will weigh items using non-standard measure.

Phonics

In phonics we will be recapping the sounds we have learnt so far. Here are some activities to practise with your children.
