Child's Learning
For this project we start by agreeing a Design Criteria.
The value for this project is 'interdependence'.
The children are divided into teams of 4. They each have a designated role which they agree in their teams, as follows:-
Next they agree which character they will be in the Billy Goats Gruff story.
Finally they can design their puppet using the DT Booklet.
The children explore fixings and materials to use on their puppets.
Skills Workshop
They make a mock up of their design based on these ideas. These are evaluated within their teams and suggestions made on how each puppet could be improved.
Mock Ups
Finally the children either add to or remake their puppets.
The finished puppets are evaluated within the teams and used in a puppet show performed for the Year group.
