The KWL table is used as an organisational tool to demonstrate:-

What we already know? = K

What we want to find out? = W

What did we learn? = L

As a Hook, together with pictures and powerpoints, this provides opportunities for discussion and to ask questions for future learning.

The bubble map shows what the children have learnt about New Zealand at the end of the project.
