People Who Help Us
Over the past few weeks we have been thinking about different people who help us.
This week, we would like you to have a think about people who help you in the community.
Click on the links below to find out more about who these people are and what they do.
Activity 1
Firstly, we would like you to discuss the following questions with your grown-ups:
Who helps us in the community/where you live?
What do they do? How do they help us?
Who helps us in an emergency?
What questions would you ask these people, if you had the opportunity?
Pick two people who help us in the community. For example, a police officer and a doctor. What would you like to find out about them? What questions do you have, if any? In your blended learning books please draw, label, and colour in a picture of them.
With your grown-ups, we would then like you to use a search engine to find out more about the people you chose. Around the outside of your drawings, we would like your parents to scribe (in your own words), what you found out about these people who help us.
Remember to tell us what you found out on Tapestry! We can't wait to find out what you have learnt.
Activity 2
Miss Harper has set up a folder of activities about the people who help us in the community. Please give these a go by clicking on the hyperlink and typing in the pin code KQ0891: https://www.twinkl.co.uk/go.
