Week 4 28.21
Dear Parents and Carers
What a great week it has been! The children were amazing on their Smile for a Mile sponsored walk. Look out for the photos on the web site. Link below:-

Next week we are beginning the History part of our Seaside project. We will be finding out what Victorian seaside holidays were like using photos and 'Magic Grandad' school programmes. The children will be imagining they are a Victorian child and writing a letter home about their Seaside holiday.
In Maths we are revisiting number bonds to 10 and 20 and using these facts to solve problems.
In geography the children will be drawing maps of their journey to school. On your journey to school it would really help if you could talk about the features you pass such as the roundabouts, postboxes, garage, shops, pond etc.
Please remember it is the Year 1 Sports Day on Thursday 1st July, so the children can wear their PE kit to school with appropriate footwear. Look out for the videos and photos on the web site.
Have a great week.
Best wishes
The Year 1 Team
