  • What a fantastic 'Walktober' Morning

    Thu 12 Oct 2017

Today, children and their parents from the Infant and Juniors, along with their headteachers Mrs Riches and Mr Campbell, Hampshire Travel Team, Community Police Officers and Councillor Humby walked to school from our Park and Stride site in Hoe Road. It was a lovely, crisp autumn walk and the children excitedly found clues that Basil the Bird had left for them about on their route. We then had a great assembly all about pollution, and learned some interesting facts about making the air around us cleaner.

All the children who took part received a badge and  thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thank you to all the Mums and Dads who brought their children along to the event.

  • Bishops Waltham Infant School Open Morning a great success

    Tue 03 Oct 2017

Thank you to all the parents who attended our open morning on Friday 29th September. They found out all about the school from Mrs Riches, watched a fantastic presentation by our Year 2 pupils and were treated to cakes and cookies by our cook, Mrs Catherine Mills. Mr Nick Mealey was on hand from Treetops After School Club to answer any questions about after school care. We also toured the school and our School Councillors were on hand to answer any questions. For parents who were keen to see our juniors too, Mr Campbell took them for a tour later. A truly memorable morning was had by all.

If you have a child who is starting in September 2018, please remember to access the admissions website from November to state your choice of school. Next year we will be increasing our admission number from 60 to 90.

Admissions close at 12 noon, January 15th 2018.

  • Harvest at St Peter's Church

    Tue 03 Oct 2017

What a special Harvest Festival was had at St Peter's Church on Monday 2nd October. Year R sang 'Dingle Dangle Scarecrow', Year 1 recited their Autumnal Poem and Year 2 retold the story of the 'Little Red Hen'. Class prayers were read throughout and Lizzie from the church talked to us all about being thankful for all we eat.

Thank you to all parents who made donations to Winchester Basics Bank. It was a welcome boost for their stores and they were very grateful.
