• Poppies for sale

  Mon 02 Nov 2026

  Hello everyone and welcome back

We now have poppies for sale at school. Suggested donation is £1, if you would like to buy one. Please put the money into an envelope marked 'poppies' and your child's name and your child can give it in to the Year 2 children who are walking around the classes with the poppies in the morning.

We talked about the reason why we have remembrance day in our assembly this morning. The children were full of lots of questions about the day, and may ask you to look for the cenotaph in  Bishops Waltham-they shocked to learn all town and villages had one. We also discussed which sweet was launched as 'Peace Babies' by Bassett's in 1918 to celebrate the end of WW 1, but later rebranded after WW 2-do you know which sweet it was?

Some of you may have noticed a glitch in our website this morning. Our current providers have been taken over and migrating all websites to a new format. Once they have migrated our information over, it will still be organised the same, but will look slightly different. Please bear with us during the changeover-we hope to be up and running soon.

  Kind regards
