Harvest at St Peter's Church

What a special Harvest Festival was had at St Peter's Church on Monday 2nd October. Year R sang 'Dingle Dangle Scarecrow', Year 1 recited their Autumnal Poem and Year 2 retold the story of the 'Little Red Hen'. Class prayers were read throughout and Lizzie from the church talked to us all about being thankful for all we eat.

Thank you to all parents who made donations to Winchester Basics Bank. It was a welcome boost for their stores and they were very grateful.

Building Work has started!

Our building work has started! We will be expanding to 3 form entry from September 2018 and our extension has started. We will keep parents updated regularly with progress throughout. Please take care when accessing our site throughout the year. Thank you for your consideration.

Year 2 Leavers' Performance and Disco 2017

Congratulations to all the Year 2 children who put on a fantastic Leavers' performance for their families yesterday. There were lots of tears all round as they sang and danced their way through their pirate tale (there were also lots of giggles!). You have been a fantastic year group and we will be very sad to see you go.

We then danced the night away at our Leavers Disco with Crazy M, all year 2 children and all the teachers. The PTA treated our children to this event and thank you to the parents who came to help. It was a lovely end to our three years together.

Another Fantastic Year at Bishops Waltham Infant School!

We are celebrating another set of fantastic teacher assessments and tests in all areas at Bishops Waltham Infant School this year. Results were above Hampshire and National in Year R, Year 1 and Year 2. We would like to thank all the children, staff and parents who work so hard to ensure children achieve their best during their time with us. Thank you!

100% Attendance Lunch 2017

This year we had a record breaking 19 children at our 100% attendance lunch with Mrs Riches in the hall. We would like to congratulate all the children who achieved this, especially with all the illnesses that fly around during your children's first years in school. Thank you also to Mrs Ely who set up the table and made the goody bags for the children.

Open Afternoon

Remember this Thursday (14th July) is Open Afternoon for all children at our school. It is an opportunity to look at books from the year and displays around the current theme. Where has the time flown? The school will be open from 2pm until 6pm and all teachers will be available to talk to. School Records of Achievement will be given out on this afternoon too. We do hope you can join us and celebrate your child's fantastic learning.

What a fantastic Sports Day

Thank you to everyone who came to support our Sports day this year. It was rescheduled due to the weather, but finally we were able to hold it on Friday 23rd June. The children were all fantastic and we had great help from the Swanmore College Sports Leaders, Mr Shearsmith our PE Coach and CM Sports who run our after school Football Club. Sports day cancelled

Sadly, due to downpours yesterday and overnight and the forecast of rain from 9am until 12pm, with gusts of wind, sports morning is cancelled. It will be rescheduled for a fortnight's time.

Easter Bonnets Everywhere!

Today we had our brilliant Easter Bonnet Competition and we had we had lots and lots of entries. The competition was judged by the Chairman of the Parish Council and his wife. The bonnets were of a very high standard and it was very difficult to choose! All entries received a prize and everyone agreed lots of hard work went into making of the bonnets.
